It was inaugurated in 1987 with a professional tourney, since then it has been a scenario for high level international competitions. In the years 89, 92 and 94 it held the Open of Tenerife of the PGA European Volvo Tour. In 1995 it hosted the Shell Wonderful World of Golf Tourney. In 2002 it welcomed an international tourney with feminine golf as protagonist. It celebrated the first edition of the Tenerife Ladies Open, a tourney of the LPGA European Evian Tour.

This field offers an attractive design, featuring bunkers of black volcanic sand, greens of generous dimensions and wide streets.

The field is for the use of the owners and residents of chalets, bungalows and apartments for non-residents.

The House Club ("Casa Club") and its surroundings have a large area for sports activities such as tennis, squash, bowling and other recreational and sportive activities.
